The great functionality of Hall 1 (multi-purpose hall) ensures that trade fairs, conferences, concerts and events can be staged consecutively with excellent conditions offered for each individual event.

The self-supporting construction ensures that the stage can be seen from every single seat - regardless of whether it's in the stalls or on the stands. A usable hall height of 12 metres and a high ceiling load-bearing capacity of 40 tonnes mean that Hall 1 is particularly interesting for major television productions and sports broadcasts. The "Wetten, dass?" show, the "ARD Boxgala" and "Melodien für Millionen" have all been broadcast live from Messe Erfurt.

Hall 1 can be swiftly converted from a concert hall into a large conference hall accommodating up to 5,200 participants. Mobile stands and versatile partitions permit hall capacity to be adapted to the respective requirements. From a rock concert for 12,000 visitors through an ice-skating gala to indoor football and riding tournaments, Hall 1 and the adjacent exhibition space in the foyers offer a wide variety of possible applications. The adjacent outdoor campus can also be included as required for all types of events.

A spacious, bright foyer across two floors offers additional space for parallel exhibitions or catering. Variable access options mean that Hall 1 can also be used independently of other events taking place at Messe Erfurt.
